A wallpaper should be pleasant, not loud. Every control is one click away.
Open it three ways
Click the toolbar button, press Alt+Shift+T, or type /theme in the chat box and press Enter. The message is not sent.
Dim and Glass
Dim lays a veil in the page's own colour over the scene. Glass sets how see-through the sidebar and composer are. Text stays easy to read.
Private by design
One permission (storage), runs only on claude.ai, no network requests, no analytics. It never reads your messages.
Light on your laptop
Up to 30 frames per second, pauses when the tab is hidden, and a still frame when your system asks for reduced motion.
Off means off
Turn off restores claude.ai exactly as it was. Your choice syncs across your Chrome profiles.
Add your own scene
A scene is a few lines of data: gradients, stars, waves, sprites. No drawing code. Send a pull request and it ships to everyone.

Unzip it
Double-click the file. You get a folder named chatscape.
Load it
Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and pick the folder.
Open claude.ai
Reload the page. Cloud Drift appears behind your chat. Press Alt+Shift+T to change it.
